How does the treatment work?
Smile Magic incorporates a combination of LED light activating technology with a specially formulated gel solution to remove stains from your teeth. The patented blue LED light activates the peroxide in the gel formula resulting in potent whitening action and prolonged results. The application takes 15 minutes to complete.
How white will my teeth get and how long will it last?
Whiteness will depend on how stained your teeth are and your starting shade colour. Most individuals will see results that are 2-8 shades whiter than their starting shade. Depending on how stained your teeth are, initial whitening may require 1-3 treatments. Maintenance can be achieved in as little as one treatment every 60 days. Lifestyles that cause tooth discolouration (consuming stain causing foods/drinks and smoking) will require more frequent maintenance.
Will my teeth and gums be sensitive and is the gel solution safe for tooth enamel?
The Smile magic formula is non-acidic and non-abrasive so it will not harm tooth enamel. It is designed to remove stains from caps, crowns and veneers too! This is a safe, effective and virtually sensitivity free treatment. Less than 2% of users may develop a minor gum sensitivity post-treatment but this usually goes away very quickly.
What should I do before and after treatment?
For maximum results we recommend that you clean your teeth prior to treatment. Following your treatment you should avoid eating or drinking anything other than water for the first hour. After that avoid eating or drinking foods that stain ( some examples ....coffee, red wine, berries, candy, beets, curries etc.) for the next 24 hours.
